Offered in this sale is a wonderful pair of Waterford crystal cut glass hurricane lamps in the Star of Hope pattern that was introduced by the company in 2000 as part of its Times Square Collection. It measures roughly 10\" tall x 5 1/2\" in diameter across the shade. The metal base is 3 3/4\" square. Each lamp weighs close to 4 1/2 pounds. The lamps are being sold with their original tapered candles that look like they were only lit once as a \"test\" perhaps. there is no melting of the candle. The shades are marked with an acid etched Waterford mark along with another mark that reads TIMES SQUARE 2000. The condition of both of the glass ball shades and both of the metal bases is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding. You don\'t often find these collectable lamps offered for sale, particularly as a pair.
