Up for your consideration is a pair of antique French fireplace andirons castwith a head and shoulders bust of a gentleman (King Louis?) on a moulded socleand a straight pyramidal billet bar.

These are also known as chenets orfiredogs. With their small scale they could be adapted for other decorativeuses in the home such as bookends.

They are in very good antique condition with someoxidation as shown in the photos.

Each measures approximately 8” tall x 12 ¾” long.
