This is an attractive pair of impressionist landscape oils by an Italian artist working in England and Scotland, Piero Sansalvadore 1892-1955.The first \"London: Hammersmith Bridge\" 3\" tall x 3 7/8\" wide is signed lower right:\"Sansalvador/1943\" as well as titled verso.The second \"An Impression from Mallaig Harbour (Scotland)\" is titled verso. Also 3 x 3 7/8\" oil on wood panel. Both are framed in simple gold finish frames 6 3/4\" tall x 7 3/4\" wide ( x 1 3/4\" deep ). They have always been framed with glass and the paintings are both in very good condition and have never been varnished.
