This is a pair of superb what we believe to be Hollywood RegencyChinoiserieporcelain vases. The vases are un-decorated but are only sophistry in disguise.The form is classy and elegant, the proportion is perfect. The glazes are fine and its mellow golden yellow color recalls the imperial color that once belonged exclusively to the Chinese royal throne.The pair invokes two classical court ladies in attendance to the emperor.Looking closely, one is surprised to see fine soft crackle line patterns that run through out the body and add subtle allure.
Porcelain of such glaze and fine quality are quite rare. Aesthetically very pleasant to look at, this pair of vases ofwarm yellow gold tonewould add an old timeOrientalregal elegancefinesse to interior decor. It\'s a sophistry in disguise.
