This sale is for a pair of vintage matching Herend (made in Hungary) candle holders. The pattern is \"Printemps\" and the motif is BT-06. The pattern is done in brilliantly colored spring flowers whichare painted in uncharacteristically bold brushstrokes in this 1920\'s-era design. Theyalsofeaturea charming little handle for carrying. They stand on tiny china \"feet\". The motif is of a greengarland and bow, flanking the flower motif in the center. I have photographed each side of the motif. Gilded along all edges and the bottom. Detail has not been spared. This pattern is still produced today and includes many other pieces, from dinner dishes to candy dishes and vases.
Herend was founded in 1826 in the town of Herend, Hungary near the town of Veszprem. They produced high-end china aspurveyors to theRoyal Court and for the European aristocracy. They continue to do so to this day. They measure 3 ⅛ \" tall and about 2 7/16\" wide at the base. They are in mint condition. I have also included tiny felt protectors on each of the four \"feet\". This protects them from chips and allows you to display them with confidence.I purchased them about 30 years ago. I love the size because it allows you to display them on a night stand or smaller surface but also on a vitrine shelf. I love them with pale pink candles. Ipurchased these as part of a collection and Imust sell because I\'m downsizing. I\'m pricing to sell.
