The good stuff first! These are very OLD and large! These corbels will be a statement piece in any room of your home! Each one could be its own shelf or would be stunning as support brackets for a fireplace, shelving, etc...
They are 19\" tall by 13 inch deep by 4.5 inches wide. Weight is a little over 16 pounds. Please look at the photos because these were outdoor decorative pieces and the paint has a beautiful patina to it. There are bumps, bruises, cracks and few other ouchies :-) Part of the fun in decorating with with pieces is mixing the old in with the new so the patina on these is quite a valuable asset.
Aren\'t these great? I love to use vintage architectural pieces whether it\'s here on our alpaca farm or in the city. They are great conversation pieces and offer a myriad of uses! These are solid wood.Back to the corbels or support brackets....These are not hand carved one piece corbels but instead they were designed as separate pieces and then nailed together. Three pieces were combined to show off the craftsman ship of these pieces.
These are sold as is so please look at the pictures. These are about 100 + years old and they show some wear and tear. A few pieces have been lost to the years but I think it really adds to the character and design of the pieces. This is a wonderful opportunity to buy a piece of history and display it in your home.
Note - The main coat of paint on these corbels is probably lead based. I suggest purchasing a matte polyurethane to spray the piece with. This keeps the finish looking beautiful for many more decades to come!
