vintage, restored, PARKER 51 SIGNET, AEROMETRIC:

for your consideration is a restoredParker 51 Signet, Aerometric fill, full size fountain pen, gold cap and body, blue section and cap jewel, full Arrow Parker pocket clip,14kt Broad Parker nib. clear sharp imprint. shows some wear from use. a very nice pen.

the working end of this pen is the exceptional, solid 14kt gold, Broad Parker nib in great condition. nib is putting down a nice, wet, Broad line and is working well - see writing sample to determine line size for yourself. this pen is a great writer with a smooth nib. the pen is an Aerometric filler, has had a new Pli-sac installed and all is working well. there are normal signs of use to the finish and there is a tiny spot on the back of the cap, not a dent but a raised pin point -can\'t see it in the photos. there is a place for initials on the barrel which is blank.this isa nice example of the Parker 51 and will be great for regular use or display.this is a high quality, cleaned, restored, polished, vintage fountain pen. this 51 is a beautiful addition for your collection and will be ready for daily use if you choose. a very handsome pen. thanks for looking! i usually ship next day in the US.

“Hand polished” defined: after disassembly and cleaning of pen and the “taping off” of trim and imprints, ‘hand polishing’ is a wet sanding process designed to restore a nearly new finish. Employing multiple progressive grades of micro-mesh abrasives, followed by paste type plastics polishes from the aerospace industry, this process removes the vast majority of surface imperfections and leaves a highly polished surface. The areas that are taped off, \"company name and information\" remain in their used state to preserve their integrity. This is all done by hand to restore the nearest to original finish while preserving as much of the original manufacturing material as possible. All metal is hand polished with Simichrome Metal Polish to restore a like new shine. These are standard practices of the finest quality restorations. the final step is a polish with museum restoration wax.
