For this last week I am offering a final reduction On a selection of preliminary paintings and studies by well-known illustrators chosen from the remaining originals they have left in inventory. All are original, unique, hand-painted works, some created to explore design possibilities for a commissioned project, others prepared for an art director\'s approval, in advance of completing the final illustrative art used for books, games or commercial products and more.

This is one of two preliminaries for an oil painting used for a wraparound cover for a book collection of Dark Horse Presents short stories, \"The Best of Dark Horse Presents Volume 1\" - published by Dark Horse Comics, 1990. (cover of the book shown for reference only ) This is an alternate version for the cover - showing \"Concrete\" plus characters from DHP stories (not Chadwick\'s) that appear along with \"Concrete\" in this collection. Very handsome and stylish, well done in acrylics on board, and great sized at 7 3/4\" x 9 3/8 plus matte, signed and dated by Chadwick bottom left. Get both prelims #1 and #2 for a great archive....I don\'t often represent owners of comic-related illustration art - but for Chadwick, I make an exception!!!

Final notes: This is an original artwork, and no rights of reproduction accompany the sale. Domestic shipping for this item will be by priority mail, insurance included, unless you prefer another carrier such as Fedex (please contact me for costs). Overseas I ship at cost, airmail or priority international depending on the size and weight of the artwork, and note that insurance is usually NOT available for such shipments.
