Here is a Super Rare 1989 Pee Wee Herman Sweatshirt that I purchased in 1989 from JC Penney.
This is a size large and I wore either a size large or Medium back then.
The colors of this vintage sweatshirt are Dark Brown or Taupe, Beige, and Orange. The couch it is laying on is Mocha colored. The colors look correct to me (on MY monitor) and you can see how very dark brown the couch is and the sweatshirt is very similar in color.
The measurements are as follows, I measured with the sweatshirt laying flat and did not pull it taut, there is a little bit of stretch, but I would go with these measurements to be absolutely sure it fits!
Neck Opening 6 Inches Armpit to Armpit 24 1/2 inches Bottom opening of the band 19 1/2 inches Top of the shoulder to end of each sleeve 18 1/2 inches Bottom of shoulder (at armpit) to end of each sleeve 18 inches Armpit to bottom of sweatshirt on each side 12 1/2 inches Front middle of neck to Bottom of sweatshirt 21 1/2 inches Back Middle of neck to Bottom of sweatshirt 22 inches Top of shoulder to bottom of sweatshirt 21 1/2 inches Across top of shoulder to top of shoulder 24 1/2 inches Wrist opening 3 1/2 inches
I was always particular with my sweaters and sweatshirts and never pushed them up my arms so the wrist opening wouldn\'t get stretched out and the sleeves would then be baggy. The nice un-stretched sleeves on this sweatshirt reflect that! This sweatshirt still has some nice stretch to it. There are some dots of rust colored stain, the missing Brown in the caricature (that has always been there from when new) and the bluing color along the bottom edge on the front and back. Still useable, but these are the flaws from age on this wonderful vintage sweatshirt. I washed it in persil, thinking the stains might come out, I think they lightened, but are still there. I also used liquid downy and dryer softner sheets. This is clean (though slightly stained) and smells great! Ready to surprise the Pee Wee or 1980\'s person in you or your life!Would be a great Christmas Surprise!
