A SUPERB EARLY 19TH CENTURY, POSSIBLY 18TH CENTURY CRYSTAL AND SILVER TOPPED SCENT BOTTLE, PROBABLY DUTCH

This is a superb very early scent perfume bottle. It dates to the early 1800s or possibly the 1700s. It is a stunning piece of silversmithing and workmanship. It really is everything that you look for in very early silver and Perfume bottles. The glass is faceted with 6 sides. The Silver top has repousse work, beautiful engraving and lovely details. It opens and closes securely. There is another silver piece that sits on top of the globe which has engraved and openwork designs. There is no stopper. The bottle is 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm) tall. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. The silver top has several small dents, one in one of the sections of the top and slight denting near the base. The silverwork at the top neck of the bottle has bits of several of the tips that run along the facets missing. The silver on the top of the globe is all intact. The bottle looks wonderful and these minor blemishes are not really noticeable. Please see the pictures for an accurate depiction of condition. This sale is only for the single perfume!
