Blank on reverse, on white semi-gloss stock, large size, at 10.5\" x 14\", these were the last step before a color Sunday newspaper comic was produced. In this saga, the Phantom outsmarts some evil animal poachers, including some callous elephant hunters!Readers of the thick Sunday print papers often termed the comic section as the funny papers or funny pages, and The Phantom was a staple,alsoappearing in books, radio and film.

Buy aggressively, as such items areextremely rareif notone-of-a-kind, and production pieces from before 1978are notoriously rare.These are in great shape, there are no holes or rips or writing or stains or other major problems. It appears that they weren\'t trimmed with caution, as the margins are uneven. They are too large for our scanner, so I took some digital pictures, including next to comics for scale, but I\'m no photographer... I also took a close-up scan, so you can see the details of some panels but not the whole piece. These are great looking showpieces which would be especially impressive framed.
