First of all we pray to Allah to make it easy for you to read Quran and obtain its reward. Allah the Almighty says, \"Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is most suitable.\" (Al Israa: 9).

It is not unknown to anyone the merits of reciting and memorizing the Quran. There are many Ayas and Hadiths that highlight this fact, examples of which are:

  • Ibn Masood reported that Messenger of Allah said, \"whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.\"
  • Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet pbuh said, \"not to wish to be the like of except the like of two (persons): a man whom Allah has given the knowledge of the Quran and he recites it during the hours of the night and the hours of the day...\"
  • Abu Umamah reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah saying, \"Read the Quran, for it will come as intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection.\"

Moreover, reciters of the Quran are promised to be among Allah\'s favourites as mentioned in the following Hadith:

It was narrated that Anas ibn Malik said, \"the Messenger of Allah said, \'Allah has His own people among mankind.\' they said, \'O Messenger of Allah, who are they?\' He said, \'the people of the Quran, the people of Allah and those who are closest to Him\'.\" And Allah knows best.
