You are offerding on a ceramic of the Maya culture in the form of a bird. It is also possible that it is a bird man, a priest in the bird costume. Striking is the upscale head, a position of power, and the large comb headdress. The massive bill is the reference to a bird of prey. Originally a pipe, through the centuries a hole on the belly is created. The surface is changed due to age, scratches and crashes. Maya ceramics are highly sought after, partly because many have not received as many ceramics, as in the Peruvian cultures that are part of the basic climatic conditions and often sacrificed to the Mayan ceramics by ritual destruction.
