The Election and Inauguration of the 44thUnited States President Barack Obama was a once in a lifetime, historic event.Those who were fortunate enough to be able to attend the ceremonies and paradewitnessed

an occasion never to be duplicated.January 20, 2009 will certainly be one of the key dates in U.S. history forfuture scholars.

Several days after the Inauguration, theseating from the reviewing stands directly in front of the White House wasdisassembled. I was there at the time and procured a small amount of wood fromthe company that

has provided seating at everyInauguration since President Reagan.

The actual piece of wood, a Yellow Pine, is roughly ¾inch long and is mounted on a 5x7 descriptive display that can be easilyframed. The display is protected by a stiff plastic protector. The photos,which I took, on the display card show the reviewing stand being dismantled andsome of the wood sitting in front of the White House.

This display would look great matted and framed!
