Don't miss this fantastic, authentically signed WhiteHouseletter with important content from President Franklin Roosevelt to James Farley, who was a very powerful man in his own right, not only holding the cabinet position of Postmaster but also serving simultaneously as serving as Chairman of the New York Democratic Committee andChairman of the DemocraticCommittee. He also served as Roosevelt's campaign manager.

In this January 11, 1936 letter to Farley, Roosevelt talks about the "construction of the Arkport and Whitney dams, forming parts of the project for the flood control works for the protection of Binghamton, Hornell, Corning and other towns in Southern New York and Eastern Pennsylvania, authorized by the Flood Control Act of 1938. .... I have authorized the Secretary of War to proceed with the construction of these two dams."

This letter is in fine condition, with just two horizontal folds, not affecting the signature at all. It has been professionally framed with a portrait of Roosevelt to a size of 19 1/2 by 15. It is one of the nicer Roosevelt pieces I have seen, and the frame is in great shape. It is ready to hang up.
