This is a very beautiful and rare Krewe ofProteus 1916 float bulletin or poster. Gorgeous chromolithography, by Walle and Co. The colors are vivid and it features a wonderful theme - \"Sherwood\", the fabled forest of Robin Hood. The reverse features a description of the parade, and vintage advertisements, including Elmer\'s Chocolates (apparently made here in New Orleans). It does havea 5-6\" tear at the bottom right, but this is difficult to appreciate when laid flat. It also has the usual cracks and small holes along the seamsthat these always have, but it will display beautifully if mounted and framed.
