This fine quality bowl was made by the silversmiths Holland, Son & Slater and hallmarked in London.This lovely bowl has a half fluted design and the top which is plain has no initials or inscriptions.The hallmarks are very clear and show JA over JS for maker, Queen’s Head, Lion Passant for sterling, London assay mark and date letter L for 1884.It is a good gauge of silver weighing 91 grams which is approx. 3 troy ounces.Approx. measurements are 9 cm across top, and 5 cm in height.Condition is very good.
