RARE 1850-1899 Antique Chinese CLOISONNE Bronze INCENSE BURNER NICE PATINA:

This piece was bought about 15 years ago from a local established, reputable antique dealer. This gentleman specializes in Asian antiques. When we purchased this piece we were told it was made, pre 1900 (possiblely going back to the mid 19th century ). Upon close inspection of this piece you will see a green layer, that is on top bronze This helps collaborate the age of this piece. There are spots of brass visible, but mostly it is oxidized with a solid patina of black,white or green. At the very bottom of the burner there appears to have been some sort of design painted in red.But most of the design or pattern has been worn off through the decades,( see pictures). The Cloisonné of the incense burner has survived pretty well. But it does have a couple small areas of loss. The Cloisonné does have firing pitting, & measures about 1 1/2 inches tall. The burners lid also has a Cloisonné ring around it. That measures about 3/4 of a inch high. This panel also has small areas of loss.Please see close up pictures for a better description, of minor damage to the Cloisonne. The lid has a skinny Foo Dog with a very detailed face, that serves as a handle to lift off the lid. While the burner it\'s self has 2 archaic dragons that serve as carrying handles. From the top of the Foo Dog to the underside of the 3 feet at the bottom of burner, this piece stands about 7 inches tall. The width of this piece from dragon tail to dragon tail, it is about 7 1/2 inches wide. The burner has 3 shallow dings, not really noticeable. I have taken close up pictures of all damage. In the last 3 pictures I tried to capture the 2 side by side shallow dings, 1 lone ding, & minor enamel loss. This Antique piece still displays VERY WELL, & would be a complementary piece to any collection. Please view all pictures for a more detailed description.
