Description:

A Great Pennsylvania WOODEN CHEESE STRAINER IN MAPLE WITH ORIGINAL WROUGHT IRON BANDS AND PINS, Pennsylvania, late 18th-early 19th century, Circa 1780-1820.

The strainer is in great, untouched condition. Original surface and patina.

This strainer would fit onto a larger bowl and you would have a fabric or horse hair filter to drain the cheese.

No repairs or restorations. The top wrought iron band is missing one original pin. The band is still tight and will not come off.

The strainer is approximately 7" in diameter and 3 1/4" high.
