Here is a superb French Gothic Revival or Rococo period Carcel oil lamp, Kosmos Brenner on the burner. The lamp was converted to electric. Highly detailed repousse of the greek god, Dionysus, the god of food and wine. The sides of the lamp show cherubs drinking wine, with shell, flower, leaf and scroll details. A wonderful scarce lamp.
