THIS OUTSTANDING CHINESE EXPORT BUTTON IS CIRCA THE 1830\'S-1850\'S PERIOD AND HAS A \"TREBLE GILT\" MARK WITH A PAIR OF CHINESE SYMBOLS EMBOSSED AROUND THE THICK BRASS SHANK IN BACK-IT FEATURES AWONDERFULLY STYLIZED FLOWER ARRANGEMENT IN LOW RELIEF ON FRONT, MEASURES A HAIR OVER 7/8\" IN DIAMETER AND IT IS IN EXCELLENT USED CONDITION-IT IS OUT OF SMALL CACHE OF ANCIENT BUTTONS THAT CAME IN THE ESTATE OF A 19th CENTURY ENGLISH EXPORTER AND IT IS AS FINE A BUTTON OF THIS TYPE AS I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF SEEING---
