FOR sale HERE IS THIS RARE ANSONIA 8 DAY GALLERY CLOCK HAS A GOOD WOODEN CASE WITH A CARVED WITH A ROPE / CABLE PATTERN BORDER AND BRASS FITTINGS. THIS RARE WALL CLOCK HAS A LEVER ESCAPEMENT THAT RUNS OFFTWO SPRINGS ONTO A COMMON WHEEL. THE MOVEMENT INSIDE IS MARKED \"ANSONIA\".DATES FROM AROUND 1880.
NOTE THAT THIS CLOCK HAS AN ENAMEL, NOT PAPER, DIAL, WHICH IS MARKED FOR THE RETAILER IN SOUTH SHIELDS, ENGLAND. PLEASE VIEW PHOTO 7, ABOVE, FOR REFERENCE.
THE CLOCK HAS BEEN SERVICED AND IS WORKING WELL. THE CASE MEASURES 9 INCHES HIGH WITH THE BRASS FITTINGS (71/2 INCHES HIGH WITHOUT) AND THE CLOCK FACE IS APPROXIMATELY 5 6/8 INCHES IN DIAMETER.
