She would have been a treasured doll when she was first made, and you can see how expensive she would have been by looking at the detailing of the body and the shading of her elbows, palms and inside thighs.
Whenyou move her legs, she moves her head because there is stiff wire connected inside the body from the wooden tops of the legs to inside herhead.
Her forehead has a crack running up from the right eye to her hairline, and she does have quite a lot of crazing all over, but this is natural for a doll this age(See photos)
I am not sure if she was ever a talking doll too - because there is a round metal thing on her tummy that looks like a talking gadget?
Maybe someone can tell me?

Her eyes work well, and open as soon as you place her in the sitting position.
She has two cute little white painted teeth inside her red mouth.

Her hands have missing tips - see photos, but are still beautifully shaped with coloured fingernails.Herfeet are in good condition for a doll of this age with just a little burring to the edges(See photos)

Her hair is threaded onto a rubber looking wig that lifts off, and then you can see right inside her head to the eye mechanism etc etc.

Although herclotheslook original, they probably aren\'t because we can see a bit of machine sewn overlocking on the gauze skirt.
She is dressed all in cream with socks, underpants and singlet, a gauze petticoat, and a cream coloured organza type material dress, with lace and a belt made of the dress material. The dress is dirty with speckles all over the back, and faded in places, and is part machine sewn, part hand sewn.
She also has what appears to be newer garments, of another pair of white underpants and a white undershirt - this has hand embroidery around the edges of the neck and armholes.
We have taken off all her clothes except the old singlet (which has lots of holes!) so that we could take clear photos. The singlet has a tag which says \"Rayon, Nylon, Wool 25%\" and Sz 2 on it.
We will send her naked, and pack the clothes with her, as they are fragile.We are not experts in dealing with papier-mache or composite dolls, so please feel free to ask us questions, or request more photos.
She is large and heavy and measures 63cms (25\") tall and weighs over 1.5kilos

Carefully packed with LOTS of bubble wrap and a STURDY box, and fully tracked & insured postage to anywhere in Australia is $22.50 because she will weigh between 3-4kilos when boxed and packed.
