Offered for sale is a good antique Georgian silver tankard
A lovely antique George III Irish silver 3/4 pint mug or tankard hallmarked for Dublin 1802 by Richard Sawyer. It measures approx 11.5 cm high x 14 cm wide including the handle and 9 cm wide across the base, weighing approx 267 g. It has a nice engraved cartouche to the front with scrips initials, possibly HB. It is in good order, the nice simple handle has some minor dings and is pushed in slightly at the bottom where it meets the body, also the thumb piece is slightly pushed down. The rim of the base has a few minor knocks. Overall a lovely antique hard to find Irish silver mug
