This is an extremely rare old handmade German SulphideMarble with the figure of a U.S.ThreeCent Piece. This is an exact replica of the United States Silver Coin that was in ciruclation from 1854-1873. It features the National Shield on aSix-Pointed Star on one side, and the reverse side has the Roman Numeral IIIwith an olive sprig above it and a bundle of arrows below it. The coin is dated, but it is difficult to read the date.
The coin has a nice silvery sheen with some very tiny air bubbles attached to one side, making it difficult to read the words \"States of America\". The glass fluoresces under a black light. The marble has been polished and the pontil is no longer visible.
It measures approx 1 1/16\" (1.073\").
It has a nicely polished surface with no signs of damage remaining.
