Item: - Imperial Russian Sterling Silver Ladle - Riga 1868

Description: - This is asuperb antique imperial russian sterling silver ladle.The ladle is of fiddle pattern design, with lobed and scalloped bowl. The parcel gilt wash to the bowl is mostly worn but still partially visible. To the reverse the handle is stamped with the makers mark GHS, Assayers mark Ludvig Zuk (1868), Silver standard mark 84, and Riga town hallmark depicated by the twin fortress towers flanking the citys crowned crossed key symbol.

Assay: - Marked 84= 87.5% silver (Riga Town hallmark)

Date: -1868

Period: -19th Century.

Engraving: -The monogram appears to be \'H.v.H\'.Please see photographs forfurther evidence of engraving to handle.

Maker: -GHS

Measurement: - Theladle measures19.1 cm and the bowl is 6.3cm x 7.0 cm.

Weight: - 59.38 grams /19.09 troy ounces

Condition: -The ladle is in good antique condition. The bowl is in overall good condition, some dings to the bowl and handle commensurate with age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
