Stunning Victorian gentleman\'s solid oak cigar - cigarette box circa 1880s. The box is in good condition and looks marvelous. The tiger oak is in nice condition exposing lovely grain patterns running through the aged wood, The top has two solid & heavy lids with two separate compartments. To each corner there are very ornate brass decorative corner edges and very fine decorative brass hinges. All decorations are firmly and securely fixed to the lid and all the ornate brass pins are present. There is a raised solid brass handle and this too is firmly secure. The Double lined mahogany compartments within are in great condition. There is a chip on one of the corners and a small crack showing on the inside of the corner of the lid. Both can be seen in last photo. Overall, the box is in good to very good condition. There are light scratches and some of the finish has worn off due to age.
Measures 10 1/2\" in length, by 6\" wide by 5\" in height including handle.
