This watch is a spectacular huge size, one of the heaviest you will find, the superb premium Welsh movement by H Kaltnbach is a fabulous near mint example, and takes a full wind by the key and runs till down over a 24 hour period. It is a key wound movement and also set by the key

The case is also one of the best antique examples you will find, with a beautiful deep mirror finish to all surfaces; the rear cover is engine turned with a blank cartouche to the centre, the case has very light pocket and edge wear

　　　 The Movement: Is a premium antique Welsh Victorian example by H Kaltenbach of Llanelly South Wales England, key wound movement. It is in spectacular condition. This premium movement will offer excellent time keeping and has been professionally serviced, currently running with a wonderful rich tick. One of the best and cleanest original Victorian movements you will find. The movement is of the lift out style

　 The Fine Silver Case: Is a solid silver, open faced, rear hinged case with AB original specialist case maker Arthur Baume mark and is also in excellent condition, Very light pocket wear, some scratches along the thumb lip to open the back, which do not detract from this amazing case. The stem and bow ring are firm, the stem button is still present and works correctly. Light wear to stem button as shown. The front and rear cover all open and close correctly

Arthur Baume were the importer of Longines watches to the UK and all of the British Commonwealth, and also watch makers in their own right

　 Case Condition: The watch case has light pocket wear, some scratches along thumb lip as shown, one of the largest, heaviest most striking cases you will find

　 The Dial: Is a wonderful example, a Gothic style silver and gold gilt design, truly beautiful, very light wear. The time is depicted by thick Gothic style Roman numerals. The blued steel hands are in good condition and the seconds dial is at the 6 o’clock position and is swept by a steel arrow hand, Seconds markers have faded but are still visible

　 The Glass: The front crystal is an original scarce thick example which is in very good condition, some light surface marks hard to see

　 Dimensions: The watch is an incredibly large example, measuring over 2 inches excluding the bow and 0.6 inches thick! The watch including the movement weighs a massive 135 grams, one of the heaviest examples
