RARE ANTIQUE HAND-PAINTED RUSSIAN ICON
This c265 year old Russian Icon was created in about 1750. It has a total of six saints surrounding Mary. The painting is in egg tempura. The shape of this Icon is rare. I have seen several thousand icons both in person and in pictures and have not seen the three round top shape before.
The icon is in good condition, with good patina but it has not been restored and has a few minor knicks. The size of the Icon is about 10 1/2 \" x 8 \". It is mounted on wood with one insert splint on the back. This Icon would make an excellentgift.
I spent about four years on business in Russia and was able to collect many antique Russian items. This Icon was purchased in Archangel, Russia, about 800 miles north of Moscow on the White Sea.The Russian Icon that is being
