You areofferding on a rare complete Torah Bible Scroll (the 5 books of Moses)Handwrittenwith black ink on gevilDeer Parchment, (i.e. parchment made from the whole hide rather than split,processed for writing on the hair-side only, and prepared with a mixture ofsalt, flour and mey afatzim [wasp residue/gall-nut water] resulting inthe typical brown color of aMoroccan Torah Scroll;) comprising 72gevilsheets, total of 275 columns; written in42 lines per column. Parchment measuresapprox 21inchesin height.

Thescroll came from Moroccowritten in the Hebrew language according to the Sephardic square script and isapproximately 150 years old.There are seven letters given special adornment byattaching 3Crownletscalled \"Tagim\" to them and another 6 letters byattaching one crown.

The individual pieces of parchment sheets aresewn together using a thread called giddin which is made from the leg sinews ofa kosher animal. Occasional erasures with corrected text clearly written over,Some edge wear and small tears as expected from such an old scroll.

Complete scrolls of this ageare seldom seen in synagogues or available due to their age. The scroll considering its age is well preserved and in very good condition and will stay beautiful with care for centuries to come. I am not listing this scroll as kosher which does not effectthe beauty of this scroll.Included with the scroll comes a pair of wooden handles.
