AN EXTREMELY BOLD EARLY 18TH CENTURY QUEEN ANNE SIDE CHAIR WITH A STRONG CARVED CREST WITH A BOLD SPLAT AND DEEP EARLY BLOCK TURNINGS AND THE ABSOLUTE BEST BRUSH CARVED SPANISH FEET. BOSTON, CIRCA 1720-1740, ALL ORIGINAL WITH A NICE OLD SPANISH BROWN STAINED SURFACE, IN MAPLE AND ASH WITH LOTS OF BOLD TIGER MAPLE.

A first period, Early 18th Century QUEEN ANNE American side chair. It has a fully developed and scrolled crest and a highly developed and carved center splat. Block turned with a dramatic cant to the rear.

THIS IS THE CLASSIC FIRST PERIOD BOSTON QUEEN ANNE CHAIR. VERY BOLD CARVED SPANISH FRONT FEET, A HIGHLY DETAILED AND CARVED TOP CREST AND A DRAMATIC RACK TO THE BACK POSTS. IT ALSO HAS WONDERFUL TIGER MAPLE STRIPING THROUGHOUT.

IT HAS A VERY DEFINED AND WELL EXECUTED CARVED TOP CREST AND ENDS IN STRONG WELL FORMED \"SPANISH FEET\" WHICH ARE ALL ORIGINAL.

THIS CHAIR HAS BOLD BLOCK TURNINGS AND REAR POSTS. It is from the BOSTON, MA AREA AND DATES CIRCA 1720-1740. The woods are Maple and Ash. The shape of the nicely carved crest is indicative of that area as well as are the fully developed and bulbous turned single front stretcher and the typical squared side stretchers as well as the BOLD CARVED SPANISH FEET. This chair is structurally all original. The rush seat is about 75 years old and is in fine condition.

The surface is a great old late 18th or early 19th century Spanish Brown stain possibly ORIGINAL.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY BOLD AND RARE CHAIR,

NO REPAIRS TO THE FEET THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL.

This great chair stands 42 1/2\" tall. The seat height is a full 18\".
