Here is arare boxedset of three British made vintage Crystalate Composition Billiards Balls circa 1920\'s - 1930\'s.
​Crystalate was an early hard plastic material invented in the late 1900\'s (made from nitrocellulose, camphor and alcohol). Its main use was for early gramophone records.The materialwas used to produce billiard balls from the 1920\'s as an alternative to the bone or ivory balls. The moulded Crystalate balls could be made more accurately so ran much truer. They were the forerunner of the modern resin based balls.

The three balls (plain white cue ball, spotted white ball and red ball) are all in good condition.Theballs measures 1 5/8\" diameter. They all weigh approximately 70 grams each
The original stiff card box is also in fair condition
