This is a rare Franziska Hirsch Dresden trinket box with gold detail. Finely crafted and hand painted. In Great condition with no damage or restoration. Minor wearing of gold on the edge of thelid due to handling. Bisque bottom has some dirt spots due to age of the item.

Franziska Hirsch operated her studio on Struwestrasse 19 Dresden from 1893 to 1930. She used blankes by Meissen, Rosenthal and MZ Austria using a gold overglaze flower to hide the manufacturer\'s mark.

This hard to find trinket box is entirely hand painted with alternating panels containing delightful floral reserves and courting couples framed by elaborate foliate gold borders. The lid is painted with delicate flower bouquets in alternating colors.

Box measures 4\" x 3\" at the widest points, and height of 2 1/4\".
