On offer today is avery rareset of12dinner forks inKings pattern, they are double struck.Assayed in London by highly regardedmakersJoseph and Albert Savory.Theyare dated 1837-year letters A/B. Hallmarks are deep and clear. Their length is 7.875inches. Collectively theyweigh astaggering 1178 grams (37.88 troy ounces) and each piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout.They havegreat tinesbeingunworn andofperfect shape. And are in truly wonderful order.They are unengraved. Please note that theback of each has anerasure. I normally scrap erased silver but Kings is a beautiful pattern andmeat forks are rarely seen in it. I thus decided it would be wrong to melt them and they still have plenty of life left in them yet.
