RARE Mid 19c Geo. W. Webb Coin Silver Baby Mug with the earliest Gorham mark.:

We are offering this exquisite coin silver mug by Geo. W. Webb of tapering cylindrical form with beading at rim and base, engine turning at intervals, an S-form scrolled handle,and neoclassical style shield-form cartouche with foliate accents. Cartouche bears hand-engraved contemporary inscription, “Sallie from Cousin Harry”.

Condition: There are some very small dents on the side with handle to the left.

Marked on the bottom: 2, early Gorham mark with lion facing left, Geo. W. Webb, coin

Dimensions: 3-1/4” HOA x 2-5/8” diam. At rim x 2-3/8” diam at base. Weight: 2.51 troy ounces.
