This is an extremely RARE piece of Austrian/Bohemian art pottery. Manufactured sometime in the late 1800\'s. It was made by Adolf Raschka at the Nesselsdorf Factory. A stunning very ornate enameled and decorative piece. Reminiscent of the Zsolnay or J. Fisher Budapest factories of the same time period. So much so I thought for sure this was one of theres when I saw it. It is marked on the bottom with a number and Nesselsdorf. Which took lots of research to find out who it was. Still couldn\'t find much. None for sale anywhere. But some pics and information. Has a Japanesque or Chinoiserie style design to it. A beautiful large body with coned foot and slender neck. With two ornate handles on each side topped with heads of a bird on them. A reticulated openwork top edge around the neck. Completely covered in gorgeous poly-chrome enameling all hand painted on. With again Asian theme design. A large bird of some sort. Possibly a bird of paradise. With butterflies, foliage of all sorts & gorgeous geometric and other forms all over!!! AMAZING DESIGN WORK!!! MUCH prettier in person!! Measures an incredible 15\" by 9\".
See condition below. Have fun offerding.Condition: Excellent condition. It has two chips to bottom of the foot. One small chip to the outside edge of the foot. And the two handles on the top edge of where the bottom loop atatches to the body. Has some seperation from the factory during the manufacture of it. Probably during the firing it seperated. The handles are tight and there are no cracks just slightly pulled away from the body. No other damage. Please read all terms and info below before offerding.
