What I have for sale is a late 18th century - early 19th century(1796 – 1814) Derby Porcelain figure.

I acquired the piece from an estate sale. The person I purchased the figure from statedthey were given the piece as a gift from a person who purchased it for them atan antique shop in England many years ago.The tag shown in the picture was what was on the piece when it waspurchased in England. The tag reads, “CombsMad King Charles.” It has been suggested by another buyer / seller on that this is in fact King Richard III. In the appraisal they did not mention who the figure is specifically.

I had the piece appraised on January 13, 2016 and will sendthe appraisal with the piece to the winning buyer. The following are excerpts from theappraisal: “Based on the marking, whatyou have is an early 19th Century English \"Derby Porcelain\" figure.The Derby mark of a crown, crossed swords, dots and ‘D’ was adopted at Derbyduring the management of William Duesbury II from about 1784 and marks of thisform were incised, or painted in puce, red or blue enamel, and slightvariations occur. This version of the mark in red was in use 1796-1814.”

Overall the piece is in very good shape for being more than200 years old. There are some paintchips on the bottom of the piece that can clearly be seen in the pictures. There are no chips or cracks in the porcelain itself. There appears to be no repairsever done to the piece. The dimensions are as follows: 11 inches high, 6 inches wide at the base, and 7 inches wide at the outstretched arm; the weight is 3 pounds, 12 ounces.

I have set the buy it now price at decently below the appraised value range. No, I will not send a copy of the appraisal to anyone besides the winning buyer.
