Offered here is a rare antique Scottish pewter 15\" dish by William Hunter of Edinburgh. The dish has a single reeded edge and probably dates from the early part of Hunter\'s output c1749. It is well marked to the underide with his distinctive (thistle) (rose) (WH) (scull) hallmarks and crowned rose touch. It weighs 1326gms and is in excellent condition as per my photos below showing historic removal of an edge inscription and some light surface scratches picked up on it\'s passage through sale. A rare and desirable Scottish dish of early date with an even grey patina which displays very well. It is offered here with a low price start and .
