I have gathered them over the last 2 years from deceased estate sales all around the country. Most of the American figural napkin rings were made c1860-1899, and I believe a lot of them found there way to Australia in the gold-rush period in Australia in the 1870/1890\'s.I havelisted them nowas they have accumulated over the last 2 years while I have been engaged in a big supreme court action. This is a lovelySET of 4 antiqueAmerican figural napkin ringc1880 which each have apair of American eagles on either side of the napkin holder on areactangualr base. 3 are maked Meriden B Comapny and the other is marked Rogers and SmithCo., which was incorporated into Meriden B Company in 1867 so all madeat same place. They all have the production/pattern/patent number 146.It is shown in the collector\'s book \"FiguralNapkin Rings: Collector\'sIdentification and Value Guide\", by Gottschalk andWhitson, on page 253 in plate 618. They valuedthem at under $200 each, 18 years ago. Theses figural napkin rings is invery good to excellentcondition. Ihave not polished them. I just wash the rings as they arrive in warmsoapy water. There is still some polish residue around. All the rings are nice and round.
