Up for offers is a quad-fold poster pre-dating the release of the Star Wars Episode IV Empire Strikes Back movie. It measures 8.5 X 11 closed and 17 X 22 fully open. On the front it says \"On May 21, 1980 The Star Wars Saga Continues\". Open it up and it has the ESB logo over top of the scene with Luke and Darth Vader dueling with light sabers.
Fold it out and there\'s a large picture of Vader\'s mask with 19 stills from different scenes in the movie. There is lots of information at the bottom about how successful the original Star Wars movie was, the announcement of the world premiere at the Kennedy Center in DC, the planned release of the ESB movie, plus some marketing / advertising data about \"gross impressions\" and \"net reach\". So this appears to have been published well before the movie was released.
It\'s in excellent condition except for a small \"notch\" (about 1/4 inch) in the upper-left corner when looking at the closed front, or at the very top over Darth Vader\'s head when fully open.
I have seen a few posters / brochures that are similar to this one but they all appear to have been released after the movie because they mention how successful ESB has been \"...with no end in sight.\" I\'ve been unable to find another item exactly like this one, so I believe that it is a very rare item.
