Very rarely do copies of these lectures surface. A hard to find 1st edition.
These were lectures Mrs. Besant delivered in Ceylon in 1907
Hardcover Blue boards 7 3/4\" x 5 1/4\" 129 pages
Exterior in good condition some bumping to corners and cover wear. But, in good condition for its age. Interior is very clean and there are no marks or writing in text. Previous owners inscription front cover. A good copy for its age.
In the Forward she states,\"These lectures were delivered in Ceylon to Buddhist audiences. Some were to village people, and were spoken and translated sentence by sentence. Some are therefore exceedingly simple, and they werepublished for the people to whom they were delivered.....To the Theosophical Society is due the revival of Buddhism in Celyon....\".
