Up for sale is a very rare Vatican vellum papal brief (\"breve\") dated to the very short papacy of Pope Alexander VIII (October of 1689 to February of 1691). The untranslated brief is written in Latin and it contains signatures of the Roman Curia. There are also remnants of the original red wax seal on the reverse. This document is in very good condition and quite scarce due to the short papacy of Alexander VIII. It measures approx. 16 x 5 1/4 inches.
