Fresh from a local estate is this great lot of eight vintage newspapers with stories related to the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake. The condition of the newspapers vary as you can see. The papers were encapsulated by their original owner in what appears to be cardboard and perhaps cellophane. Over the years some of the capsules must have worn out and those papers are loose. The other papers are still sealed and we will leave them that way for the next owner to open. Some of the papers have tape / tape residue, chipping, paper separations, toning, etc.. but they still make for great a historical perspective and display.
