Really nice, rare and HUGE Vintage lighter.
Engraved on front it has the word GERMANY followed by the dates:
SEPT 46 - MAY 49
JAN 54 - SEP 56
SEPT 58 - AUG 62
NOV 65 - JAN 69
The back says JAPAN followed by the dates:
NOV 49 - MAY 53
These kind of engraved lighters were very popular in the US military, specially in the late 60\'s (Vietnam Era), when this particular lighter was done. The dates on it probably reflect the different deployment dates.
Chrome finish.
It still has the wick, but it news a new flint.
It has a piece of green felt glued to the bottom, to prevent it from scratching any surfaces.
It\'s 7\" tall x 4.5\" x 1.5\".
It\'s in Very Good condition. I don\'t think it has been used much. Some spots on the chrome and some signs of wear. All parts are original. No dents, cracks, repairs, etc. Please check photos.
