DESCRIPTION

You are offerding on this W.H.Bartlett etching of a Norman castle, Carrickfergus, county Antrim, Northern Ireland. Engraved by J.C.Armytage circa - 1840. There is rippling in the paper and yellowing especially around the edges near the matting. The gold colored wood and glass frame measures 11\"x 10\" and the image is 7 1/4\" x 4 7/8\". This is a great old steel plate etching, printed in London at the very beginning of Queen Victoria\'s historic reign!
