RARE WW2 Original 34th Inf. Division Red Bulls M1 Helmet Fixed Bale w/Liner:
$2000.00

Here is an original War time used 34th Infantry Division helmet with hand painted Division emblem (the Red Bulls). The only thing added is the repro chinstrap for the liner. It is in good condition showing honest wear. (BTW the 34th spent more time in Combat than any other US Army Unit in WW2). The shell is a very early McCord with a lot number of 74A indicating very early production. Fixed bale, front seam, and stress cracks present, but not bad. Original chinstraps in place with the early brass hooks.

Liner is a Westinghouse with early khaki webbing. Nape strap marked SLP. Once again, the liner chinstrap is a replacement.

FYI on the 34th Inf Div. It was the first US Division in North Africa in May 1942. Learned some hard lessons from Rommell and the Afrika Corp. Spent more time in combat and secured more enemy territory than any other US Division.

Soldiers stats:

KIA-3737

WIA 14,165

MIA 3460.

This is a awesome helmet you may never see again as it is VERY rare from this Unit. I will allow a inspection period of 24 hours so you will be sure to be happy with your purchase.

On Aug-31-16 at 10:45:16 PDT, seller added the following information:

Some provenance. This helmet was acquired by a Collector known to me who bought it from the Vet directly some 20 or more years ago. I am just the second person to own it since WW2. It has never been offered for sale on a Website, Forum, or at a Military Show.
