This is a phenomenal antique print that isover 270 years old (1730s). It depicts an Effendi Islamic Scholar (Effendi, Effendy or Efendi). This Effendi title would have indicated an \"educated gentleman\", hence by implication a graduate of a secular state school (rüsdiye), even though at least some if not most of these efendis had once been religious students, or even religious teachers.

The print is a high quality antique copperengraving. You can clearly see the platemark. The detail is amazing. Extremely rare.

It is hard to scan a fine engraving like this, but under a magnifying glass, you\'ll see amazing crisp fine engraved lines. You can see the imprssion of the plate mark. The paper is thick and of high quality so it holds the details well. See scan for a better idea of the condition.

The print measuresapprox.4.5 x7.75 inches, and theactual image size (without margins) is approx.3.75 x5.5inches.

This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE item from that era. It would look wonderful framed as a gift.
