I try to take allphotos using bright sunlight (the most natural light that there is)but living in Michigan we can go for a week or more without a clear sunny day, and when that happens I\'ll use anOtt-lite true color bulb.Lines that you see in the stone are not cracks, but rather are natural inclusions often found in Ammolite gems. Pyrite (thin gold veins) and Limonite (thicker black veins) are commonlyseen inAmmolite.

The surface of this stoneis smoothand slightly rounded. If you\'ve been looking for a simple classically designed Ammolite pendant, this piece may be for you. This stone shows the rarer blues, greens and purple- having more purple than most ( these colors do require a little more light to fully express themselves) accented by a bit of rusty-orange color, all depending onhow the light hits the pendant. The overall size of this pendant is 1 5/8\" high by 1 1/8\"wide.The natural Ammolite in this piece of jewelry came from Alberta, Canada. This stone was cut and polished by people with years of experience working on Ammolite, they take great pride in their work and never coat any of their naturalstones.
