This bookinVERY GOODcondition, esp considering age & that it was heavily read & reread. The pages are yellowed, butfar as I can tell there are no missing, torn, nor damaged pages.There is no writing inside, except for my name inside the front cover. The dustjacket has some wear & chipping, but quite good & all in one piece. Back flap has a piece torn off, which I believe was an order blank to order more books from the book club. The cover itself is in excellent condition, with only minor corner/edge wear. The book is overall very nice condition, but probablly wouldn\'t take any heavy handed use by children.

The big thing about this book are the beautiful black & white illustrations by well-known artist Wesley Dennis, who did alot of illustrations for Marguerite Henry\'s famous books. The full color dust jacket is also by him.

This is aVINTAGE book from my personal collection& was heavily read, so please look at all the photos & ask for more if you need them, AND please ask all questions before offerding as there will be NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS!
