ROMAN ITALIAN JEWS Passover MANUSCRIPT HAGGADAH JUDAICA Jewish Miniature Art

This Pessach Hagadah has been written by the scribe Amedeo Yedidia Spagnoletto and the miniaturist Reuven Benaya from an idea of rabbi David Sunak (Sciunnach). It took more than 3 years to work on this project in Italy.
The original manuscript belongs to the Rabbi and has been painted by hand on Roman parchment. The style of the illustrations is inspired by Medieval Italian manuscripts..
The scribe who wrote the text of this Hagada used the traditional text PLUS the differences done by the old minhag (custom) of Roman Jews. The comments in Judeo-Romano which follow the text are in Rashi script.
This commentary is the old language used by Roman Jews (called giudaico rumanesco).
This Pesach hagadah with its unique style blends together medieval drawings, old language and the Roman jewish tradition which has been transmitted for generations.

As far as I now, this haggada is NOT AVAILABLE IN ANY STORE except here on . The reason being that it seems that wither the printer or the owner could not pay the printer who in response destroyed most of the copies, never to be seen from again! I managed to salvage this copy and I doubt it very much if more of these haggadot will be up for sale on or anywhere else for that matter!
This hagada is simply gorgeous! The paper is thick and has the look of parchment. Green cloth binding.
Haggada contains 74 illuminated pages.
CONDITION: MINT!
